I know, this really doesn't belong in the televison catagory but anyway, does anyone know how to burn a dvd from my computer? I have a dvd hard drive or whatever but everytime i try to burn a dvd, it says error. If someone can seriously help me with this, you get 10 points.

I had a similar problem with burning CDs a while ago, and I ended up going to download.com to get new CD burning software, I had an app that didn't work. Download.com aka cnet.com is an all-around great resource for when software craps out on you for no apparent reason, and, actually, it's great for getting reviews from the editors and other users for any technology, i.e.-cell phones, printers, mp3 players, etc.

just because you have a dvd port you may not ave the writing to a dvd mechanism check, if you do have it check to see if you have the necessary drivers if all else fails call the geek squad

you might need some software.
if the option to burn doesn't come up when you put the burnable dvd into your drive then you need software
