Some users are not able to connect to our email server in some locations in China. They are able to connect in some hotels, but not in some factories.

Government sensors are alive and well. It made news a few months ago that yawhoo turned over the names and information on a LOT of people when asked to do so by the governmental authorities...be aware when rambling on out here that your information is "public" knowledge!

Obviously you were not watching or reading the news about a year ago when Google sold out to the Chinese Government and Yahoo followed them into the land of 3 billion people with no human rights.

In order for Google and Yahoo to go into China they had to agree to severe censorship. Any postings of a political, pornographic or derogatory remark about the government is filtered out. There is no free speech because China is not a free country.

I understand this is the model for the 'New' Internet the Bush Whitehouse envisions for America.

biiiiig news about that a couple of weeks ago, China censors the net, big time.. so, if you're having problems connecting, that's why..

i would have to agree with him. corproate hotels in china actually have more power than the government because china doesnt want to lose the income from them they allow them to do whatever they want to stay
