Use a product called Goof-off. It is available at Lowes and it works great on old paint, ink, glues, ect. Be sure to keep the windows open in the area as the fumes will make you high if you aren't careful. After the ink is gone, Wash the area well with soap and water to remove any remaining goof off

First, saturate the ink with a cheap hairspray. This will ususally take ballpoint pen ink off hard surfaces. If this doesn't work, try (in this order) alcohol, acetone, amyl acetate; test first. When you find the product that removes the color, sponge repeatedly until no more ink is being removed.

i dont know if it will work on your dryer barrel but hair spray will get ink out of clothes so i'd try spraying some on the barrel and seeing if it would wipe out

I propbably would let it go becasue any thing that you would use needs to be solvent based and that is going to stay in the dryer and then get into you clothes.

Use Goof-off (if you have an Iron clad lung) or Goo-Gone (smells more like oranges). Both WORK GREAT!
In the future, make sure you do not have any pens in your pocket
