When I know what I want and I want it cheap, I go to a big store. If I am not sure and actually want help from the staff or I want something a little more 'boutique-y" I go to a small store.

the question is slightly imprecise.. yet in case you advise tremendous shops or bit chain shops (like j crew, banana republic etc..) vs. smaller botiques, the smaller shops can be a touch extra expensive, yet probably will be a touch more effective high quality. the vast shops could have the funds for to make issues more low-priced, yet they actually have the ability to jack up expenses more effective than they could because of style call popularity. Your brilliant guess (im my humble opinion) will be going with the smaller shops.. you've gotten to pay a touch extra for choose products, even with the undeniable fact that the commonplace may be more effective. If once you're saying "huge save" you advise wal-mart or objective, they'll almost genuinely have decrease expenses, yet they're ruining small and tremendous cities alike, taking money from the marketers that make your city what it really is. also get a lot extra constructive service on the smaller shops, usually obviously. good lux - walmart is fuking organic evil

I would go to a bigger store to get a better price on an every day item, because it will be less expensive. But I would go to a smaller store if I had a lot of questions or needed really good customer service, because the staff at smaller stores usually know a lot more about the products and will treat you better because customer relationships and word of mouth are so important to them.

The biggest difference, and the most important, is that the giant chains stores like Wal-mart and K-Mart can buy in great volume and pass the savings on to their customers, wheras the smaller store have to stick close to the suggested retial price to make a profit and meet overhead costs.

Selection, selection, selection! But also I find wider aisles in larger stores and more modern tech like ATM's, Banks, Deli's or Food Concessions. This is what is driving out and killing the mom and pop stores. I enjoyed my experiences in these smaller, even older stores for their down-home atmosphere and being less congested inside and outside, i.e. parking! Good luck on your exam...!

big stores have more stuff. more space, and more employees.
plus, they have a larger profit margin so they can make LESS profit on each item (lower sales price for the consumer) and still make more money cause they sell a higher volume of merchandise.
