Sometimes, yes. Think of all the zillions of possibilities for murder. There are kids that murder their uncle who sexually molests them for years, or a parent that beats them, lights them on fire and shuts them in a box. There are people who murder by 'accident' but a jury says it's premeditated.
Im not talking murderers in general. I'm saying that there are some that out of the millions are not a threat to anyone else in the world and can safely be let back out after 20 years behind bars..and save the taxpayers a bit of money. IN SOME cases.

It depends on the circumstances. Those people who accidenatlly stabbed their husband after 30 years of abuse I reckon should be allowed a second chance but if it is your common or arden murderer then no. Taking a persons life should be punished for life. Paedophiles however should be tortured and made to live the rest of their sorry lives in dark pits of **** to be dragged out and publicly flogged every year or so.
I also believe that bringing back caital punishment would resolve our over crowded prisons problem.

Only if they are proven innocent by DNA testing or the confession of the real murderer. If, in fact, a person is guilty of murder, he or she should not be released into society ever again.

No i don't think so. They have deliberately taken a life so why should they have their life. In this country we have murder, but in the states they have different types of murder. If the law was changed in this country so we had murders that were premeditated and ones that weren't it might make things a bit clearer. As things stand then if you deliberately take someones' physical life then you should not be allowed one yourself.

Yes, under certain circumstances. Most murders are crimes of passion and are not likely to be repeated. The animals that kill for pleasure or in the act of another crime, some other circumstances should be locked in a cage and never see daylight again.

In my opinion, No. They should be given 10 years to appeal after which time, if the conviction stands they should be given the death penalty. No point wasting Tax money keeping them in prison and can't take the risk they will re-offend.

hmm yes ... u never know why they murder someone ... if a human take such a big step there is always a reason for it .. but certainly ... if the murderor realise his misrake and has had enough of punishment why not ? i am talking about a murderor and not a serial killer .. serial killer should be sacked immediately .. but someone who has murdered for personal rivalry .. hmm one should give it a second thought.. :) u can never be 100% sure about the conviction too ...

To all those responding with 'the electric chair' or 'hanging' - get real!!
Capital punishment really works well in the States. They've got such a low murder rate haven't they?
