Who's computer also crashes while playing HL2? If you have an idea on how to fix this problem, plz tell me. Just so you know, my computer is up to date with all the drivers.

Alright now that i tried to reinstalling it, the error 1334 came up. It said that base_source_shared_sounds.cab. How do I go about correcting this file?

The problem is with DirectX 9.0.

You need to launch the game in DirectX 8.0 with the switch "-dxlevel 80" and it will no longer crash, BUT some mesh in the game are not made for DirectX 8.0 and you won't see them in the game. Once you have passed the section where the game crash, you must save and restart the game with "-dxlevel 90" to switch back to DirectX 9.0

You may just have to re-install Half-life 2 or the entire Steam platform. I had similar problems and a reinstall helped it

setting up the latest drivers to your card. earlier you start to play, track the photographs in ideas top all the way down to the basics. initiate it up, if its ok, strengthen the photographs a sprint. Repeat till you get the final it may safeguard.
