The Church
In the quiet of the church
I left the cross upon a plate
crush velvet surrounded it
little cross made of red; green
yellow and blue
how I looked back and hated you
I slowly walked away
A day went by an then I knew
that little cross would follow through
no one had known I left it there
then on the phone the voice was clear
I found your cross upon the plate
you want it back its not to late
no says I wondering how he found out
just who it did belong to

tears came into my eyes as I thought oh what lies
I should of thrown that cross into the lake
it struck me then I had a friend
my life could not get any worse it it had to get better
