I'm in the Uk and want an internet connection at home. What is the cheapest provider and is it a pain in the **** to set up? ta.

Not a pain at all. You don't even need a disk. If you have a telephone line then you can get some good deal with your provider, check out their own website and if you have extra TV channels such as cable. If you are doing it freehand then you just need to download the relevant parts from the website of whichever provider you choose and it will configure everuthing for you. should only take about 20 minutes. Try www.Blueyonder.co.uk or www.bt.com

Alternatively, go to your local supermarket, Asda, Tesco etc and they usually have free broadband/ Internet connection disks at the checkouts. Take a few different ones and see whose the best. They also have them at Computer shops and some electrical goods shops such as Curries.

I'm with BT. It's not the cheapest but if anything goes wrong there's only one company to contact as it uses its own network. If you use a different company which also makes use of the BT wiring then there's always the chance that you'll get caught in the middle if anything goes wrong!

I'm with BT broadband and haven't had any problems. If you're looking for a dial-up service I've also been with freeola.com for several years and their service is excellent.

ive got aol nd its very good but ive had a few problems with it i used to have bt and didnt have any problems with it so i reccomend bt but aol is better 4 talking to ppl
