Dean B (and others) - Yeah, and the Suger Hill Gang were pioneers of rap. Does that make them "great" rappers - or better than, say, Rakim? Musically, The Beatles offered nothing and were quite simplistic. If you REALLY claim to know your history, you may have heard of groups like Buddy Holly, who came before the Beatles.

And from that era, I'll take Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Jimi Hendrix, and a handful of others over The (overrated) Beatles.

The reason The Beatles are so famous is because they set new laws for how music should be celebrated and were pioneers in their time.
They opened up many doors for different styles of music and for different artists to follow and it's very likely that, without their influence, western music would be where it is today.
I personally wouldn't call that overrated at all.
But I don't know enough about Radiohead to comment on that.

I've never even heard of Radiohead. As far as the Beatles, I think you should open a history book. These four guys actually changed the world and the way we think about it. Radiohead?

The Beatles are NOT overrated!!! As for radiohead I barely heard of them so I guess not. All rappers and hiphopers are the ones most overrated.

No...I'd say the most overrated band in history is AC/DC or U2. I'm sorry, but I just don't see anything great about either band (excluding what Bono does in his free time, I'm just talking about music).
