yes the man should have a say as to whether his child is killed. If I were a man I would fight like hell if some woman wanted to kill my unborn child. If he wants the baby she can deliver the baby and sign over all parental rights to him!

I feel men do have a say so in this situation. However, how can the man prove that he will stick around after the baby is born to take care of the child? If he refuses abortion and the mother and father do not get along, then this will cause much conflict. The mother will take custody to court etc to get back at the man. I see it a lot. I feel two people tango'd and two people should agree on a decision.

While I can understand a mans point of view on this a woman cant be used as an incubator. Its unfair to both the woman & child. Will a woman forced to carry a pregnancy of a man who forced her tend her unborn baby properly? If the man in question wants a child so badly and is no longer able to biologically father one he should look into adoption or hook up with a single mom. I'm certain there are many single moms out there who would welcome a man who so desperately wants to be a father...providing he cares for her too.

This is the other side of the child welfare payment injustice. A woman can go off birth control without saying anything and get pregnant on purpose to force the man she is with to pay child support for 18 years (yes, this happens more often than you think).

I would not stop her from aborting the child, I am not the one whose physiology will be permanently altered by the pregnancy. Plus I can always have another child. This is what often happens in nature, mothers will abandon their children to die if they cannot support them, and have more children later when circumstances are better.

I think he should have a say so, but from the women's perspective he can want the baby now, but if he decides later the he doesn't then she is stuck with a baby she did not want from the beginning. I think she should have the baby, and then sign her parental rights over to him so she won't have to worry about it. The down side is if she carries this baby she might bond with it. So I think the decision is going to be a hard one. On the other hand give the guy a chance to be a dad if that's what he wants because there are so many dead beat dads in the world, but you have one who wants to be there.

No one knows the future. She might bond with the baby and be glad she kept it or not, and he might want to be a good dad now but decide later on he bit off more then he can chew or not. So they both have to do what's best for them, but if they are not married he has no say so. Good luck.

I was thinking about this just the other day actually. True im pro-life, but I dont think abortion is murder. However I think in this case it could be classified as that. Mainly because the guy wanted his child but she terminated his life. Im not sure about the laws on this but I think this is definately something that could occur, and I think that if he took legal action then there is a good chance he would win. He could try reasoning with her, saying he would take full custody and responsibility.

Every Man who is the Father of an unborn Child should have the right to appose the abortion, as long as he will accept full responsibility for the Child's loving care and upbringing. I would use any and all legal options afforded to me to save My Child!

it really depends if the man and woman has bn a cupal for YEARS then yeah the man should have just as much say as the woman (maybe put her mind at rest by saying we can do this 2geather)

but if it was a one night stand or youv just genraly started to date then i think the woman gets more say than the guy as it genraly is the woman who has to live with the baby for the rest of there lifes and the guys get of free with out being a propper dad.

but ither way both man and woman should sit down and think where there lifes are heading.

BUT REMEMBER SAFE SEX THEN PEOPLE WONT GET IN TO THIS SITUATION

Only if the woman is confident that the man is going to stick around after it's born. Not just provide but actually be there. If there is solid commitment there, then yes.

A man should definitely have a say albeit NOT veto power. In the end, it should be the woman's final word. But I think if a man feels strongly enough he should be willing to give his damnest to make his point.
