Due to my radical attitude I was not influenced by anyone. But it is not common. Many others saying that they are inflenced by certain personalities. Who are they?

I am influenced first and foremost by my father. I am a daddy's girl and he represents all that is good in the world to me. I cannot go anywhere where someone doesn't know him and he and my mother are still married (for 39 years). Of course, the downside to this is that I am 34 and never been married because he sets the example of what my ideal mate would be like. No one has ever come close. I feel that I would be "settling." Anyway, it's my dad.

Difficult to appreciate at the time but generally this would be family and teachers as they are the people who interact with us during our formative years in an authority role.
After this we may choose to adopt the ideas or approach of others but we are not influenced unknowingly.
For me it would be people like Carl Sagan and Isaac Asimov.

I imagine you have been influenced by other people in some way but this does not mean that you accept or agree to the influence.

I think we are influenced by many people. Do you think you are alone in your radical attitude? Whatever you think, has been thought before. I think we as people see and absorb the world around us and pick and choose what feels right to us. Our choices are determined by our genetic make-up and our environment (how we are raised, etc.) We remain unique but we are more similar than different.

I was most influenced by my aunt and grandmother who lived on either side of me growing up. I loved my mom but rebelled against anything she said. My girls didn't rebel, but my son did starting at age 12...........................all I kept saying to him was, "I don't know what God's plan for you is, but the life you have chosen "aint" it!!!!! Eventually in his late 20's he came around, knew how much his family loved him, and became a, not just good person, but an awesome guy and family member.
