Sometimes it takes losing ones life, or the death of another person, before one can get serious about doing the best they can with what they've got. So it may well cost almost everything. This can work the other way too, so that a person who has been broken just never mends because they give up. The choice is ours, but many of us don't realize that. Too many people attribute their on going attitude of defeat to what others did to them in the past, not realizing that the present and future are our own responsibility..
