That is a good point. Do you think there might be a connection to brain chemistry and twinkies? That might be a good question. "How many twinkies can you eat before your brain goes numb do to the high sugar and fat content? Or this is you brain and this is a twinkie. Any questions??
I hope I was able to clear things up for you. You are wlcome no thanks needed.

There are 103,000 listings when "Electro-chemical reactions in the brain" is entered into a search engine...

There are 521 listings when "Mars vs. Twinkies" is entered into a search engine...

Figure that you probably receive more responses to the Mars v. Twinkies question because there is actually a measurable comparison of two different (yet similar) items.

Electro-chemical responses has 22 possible topics in the Merck manual (2nd website link below).

We are probably able to relate to sweet "treats" more easily than sweet "thinks"...

Come to think of it...when the sucrose in the Mars Bar or Twinkie is chemically processed on the tongue and palete, an electrical impulse is sent to the brain that sends a message that enables one to identify it as a "sweet" taste. Hummmmm....that means that the cognitive ability to distinguish the difference between a Mars Bar and a Twinkie is purely an electro-chemical response to the aforementioned stimuli...

Because, obviously, questions about twinkies and mars bars are more common knowledge. Electro-chemical questions are harder to answer.

More people have food interests than
science interests..that's Obvious.. I
bet there's more cooks than scientists
same for chefs, bakers, Candy
makers, chocolate bar makers.
As for twinkies vs Mars bars
I like the Mars bar better
Food questions tend to be easier
to comprehend than science
questions! There are more people
that eat things than there are scientists!.
Your question as you see above
the answer is obvious! You obviously
didn't think things through. Perhaps
your science question was less
clear than the food one. To compare
food question to Science question
that's akin to comparing
a Garden to a Chemical Factory!

Well, stretch or not, your point is well taken. I have to admit, since I know nothing - diddly squat - about ECR and much more about twinkies, I had to pass on your first Q. This Q, however, is more in line with my mental abilities and has the capacity to interest me.

Just add me onto the list of twinkies answerers. Sorry.

I like sheila's answer, tho. lol !!

When you ask an intellectual question people have to open up their brains, but for twinkies or mars bars they only have to open their mouths.

obviously there are more people who know about Twinkies than there are people who know about electro-chemical responses... Not to mention Twinkies are just more fun than science.
