I have always had very pertruding ovaries which i can feel and even more so when im due on. Im on the pill at the mo and my period is due in a week and a half. I cannot recall when i have my period whether or not my stomach is hard. I believe i could be 7 weeks pregant and have been having symptoms for a while. I have taken two tests but they were negative. I have just gone to the loo and my lower abdomen is very hard - has anyone else experienced this at about 7 weeks gone?

Everywhere i have read has said you can get false negatives but not false positives. People on here have said they have. Think you may be mistaken

I didint feel any change until i was 12 weeks. I seen the baby in an ultrasound at 7 weeks and it was the size of a penut.
BUT.... hormones can do weird things. I say go to the doctor and let him/her confirm your pregnancy

Just to let you know, for a pregnancy test, there can be a false positive, but no false negatives. That just means that if the test says you ARE pregnant, it can be wrong and you need to verify with the doctor. But, if the test says you ARE NOT pregnant, then it has to be right. So, no worries about being pregnant. I would say go to the doctor and get it checked out, you don't want to mess around with the inside of your body. It's important, so if you feel that something is wrong... make an appointment immediately. Good luck and hope it's nothing too serious.

If you are only 7 weeks you won't feel or see anything. I would be more concerned about the negative tests. Go to the Dr to have it confirmed for sure, just because your period is late doesn't automatically mean you are pregnant. Your abdomen would definitely not be hard at this early stage as the baby is so tiny. How can you be 7 weeks pregnant if your period is due in a week and a half?

IF you think you are pregnant why are you still taking the pill, it can effect the results of a urine pregnancy test, and effect the babies health depending on the strength of the pill.
Also what are your solid movements like, have you been or are you constipated?
I suggest you stop taking the pill and in about 2 weeks try the pregnancy test again, before you do the pregnancy test see your doctor and have a pelvic ultrasound done

I experience the hard tummy every month before my period is due, just a tightening of the muscles around the womb. But if you think you might be preganant get the doctor to check you out. Home tests can sometimes show false negatives.

this is definatley because you have taken 3 strips in a row. you've skipped your period so your hormones have tripled as they have no where to go. Stop taking your pill for 7 days, give your body the chance to have a period and release some hormones.

Yes, i had that feeling at 6 wks. I had a six pack-okay, so my stomach was already firm, but when i found out i was pregnant i was about six weeks-------------- the lower part of my stomach was really hard and firm, more than the rest of my stomach, and that feeling confirmed my pregnancy doubts!

I do vaguely remember my lower abdomen hardening up from time to time, but it is obvious by what you are saying that you may not be pregnant, it would be my advice to see a doctor to rule out anything serious, good luck

the best advice I can give you is to go to your doctor and find out with a blood test. If you are only 7 weeks, some women's hcg levels are low, and it takes them longer to find out they are pg. Especially if you are on the pill, please don't wait, because it could harm you and/or your baby.
