To coin an old phrase, "War is hell." If any of the posters have ever been in a combat situation they would know that collateral damage (killing of innocent civilians) is part of war and cannot be entirely avoided. Blame the terrorists because it is they who hide behind innocents while they exact their murderous actions on others.

President Bush hasn't instigated this practice; killing of innocents have been in every war since biblical times. It is just that recent wars have been televised and reported minute-by-minute to the world, bringing information to us immediately.

Our government is spending millions to help rebuild after Hurricane Katrina and other disasters. To claim otherwise shows a lack of realistic knowledge of what the USA willingly does for others.

Public opinion about Bush is the same as it was about Truman. Yet Truman brought an end to WWII, didn't he?

Your question shows a very limited understanding of both current events and history. The President's duty is to protect the United States. War is an ugly business which has always entailed the deaths of innocent civilians.
Did you ask this same question after THOUSANDS of innocent civilians were killed in the World Trade Center?

What people are you talking about, the one ones killed by bombs made by Iraqis and other Muslims, the ones killed when Sunnis try to kill Shiites, the ones when Shiites retaliate?

While President Bush is not likely to 'fess up' to what he is responsible for, certainly nobody else will either. ex: the entire Arab world is offended and upset about how Israel kills innocent Arabs. How about the innocent Israelis who are killed by Arabs?

Muslims world-wide complained about the (alleged) abuse of Korans by the US. Why did no Muslim complain when the Afghans destroyed icons of the Buddha that were older than Islam?

get a grip and be real. Honesty is lacking.

First of all how would you know, and second how can you possibly know who is innocent and who is not? If you are talking about the war, and I presume you are; the fact of life is that innocents will be killed on both sides. That is collateral damage. One more thing-most of those so called innocents you speak of support Hamass, the Taliban and other radical islamic groups, and as far as I am concerned that makes them fair game. perhaps if the citizens of did not hide out these groups and insurgents in their homes and town they would not killed!

i've met a lot of them that voted for him and they say he's doing his job. Thats a whole bunch of BS,instead of him giving the order for them to kill in Iraq he needs to bring the troops back home and let them help build New Orleans. Its ashame how our government will go out of their way to help rebuild other countries, but will overlook their own.
