The rug was folded on the shelf in the store. I can't get the fold creases out. It is not rubber on the back...it's driving me nuts!

What have you tried?

Pulling out a steam iron is worth trying. Turning it upside down might work, while piling on heavy books or cast iron cookware.

Is it washable? Or, can you moisten it a bit and throw it in a dryer (even the commercial dryer at the laundry mat?)

The idea of rolling it up is a great one, and then leave it in the bathroom with a steamy shower going for a while??

What a hassle that it won't just settle into place. Good luck!!

hi - try folding them against the crease - spray the lower back of the crease with water in a spay bottle - then use your blow dryer to dry and warmth it up some. we've a non slip vinyl mesh that we lay under our bathing room rugs. I doubt that it may help the crease besides the undeniable fact that it retains them from slipping. DeeJay.

Roll it up extremely tightly and evenly and let it stay that way for a day, then unroll it onto a totally flat surface, this may work unless the damage is truly permananent.

I agree with the one person. Steam it. That should allow the fabric to release and uncrinkle. Then after you steam it, hang it to let the wrinkles fall out.

It should go away on it's own by people walking on it

use a steamer, if you have one.....if not lightly dampen with water, cover with a white cloth, and iron......

or you could just lay it out in the sun, and see if that helps.....

the best thing to do is just give it time, it will eventually go away.
