Jim Carrey is an amazingly funny actor. He rocks, and no i dont think hes being pretentious in any way.

Well.. not sure bout a dildo.. but he is greedy. He was turned down for a recent movie because he refused to take less than 23M for his role. He is getting old and should take what is offered to him before he fades to nothing. As far as talented, he has had some pretty good movies.

i'm torn on this one....
sometimes i think he actually does well in some films and sometimes i feel like he just brings the same ol schtick to each role.
perhaps it's all in his direction on the set....directors can ruin an actor's performance....even if sir anthony hopkins has poor direction he may give a poor performance.
i think jim carrey has talent, but i don't think i'd put him on my mt rushmore of great actors!
plus, i get kind of sick of his movies at times...i can only take so much.

Shut your mouth! Jim Carrey rocks. He is so phenomenally talented that this question is just pointless, (unless you are jealous and searching for negative feedback). By the way, you should check out his earlier work-(in living color), and some of his dramatic pieces, you will be impressed.

I don't know anything about him really. I did like dumb and dumber. Me, Myself, and Irene was funny even if it should have been offensive to a person like me. But, I don't take things too serioulsy. :) I have nothing against the man that I can think of.
