For the most part these days its email, a wonderful thing, especially if you have relatives abroad who were never that good at writing letters in the first place, most people like computers and the freedom of just been able to sit at a keyboard and screen and type away without having to go searching for a post office for stamps and airmail letters, the only letters I seem to write these days are official ones.

6 years ago to my wife just after our engagement. Handwritten letters give a personal feel through the handwriting we feel the writer more closely. No matter how beautiful font we use it’s still from the computer only.
Phones and emails are not giving us that chance anymore. Also we are a bit lazy now.

I have written a letter just yesterday. It was a Thank you note for a birthday gift I received. I am going to write another one today. I think it is nice to get a letter occasionally in the mail- it's a nice break from bills-LOL

E-mail is so much more cheaper and efficient! Everyone uses it now. It fits in with the world of speed, technology, money and of course... the one that keeps the world on it's toes... Competition!
Though, to get a letter from someone may be nice too like at xmas, I love to get cards from ppl I wouldn't have met in awhile.
Send me a letter.

I write many letters on a daily basis while at work. For private correspondance though it's all email.

Unfortunately since the advent of e-mails,mobile phones etc the art of letter writing is dying. How sad. isn't it great to receive a hand written letter from a friend or loved one.

I wrote a "dear John" letter to my boyfriend a few years ago in college when i was mad, but i never sent it, guess that doesn't count either....
emails the way to go, even my grandma does it.

I write thank you notes and I write letters to my grandma every other week. Call me old fashioned, but its just so much more personal to hand write a letter to someone to show your love or appreciation.
