I have a 1999 Ford Explorer. The AC was working fine until this year and now it just blows out thru the top vents. Although it is still blowing cold air it tends to fog my windshield. I tried this on Edmonds with no luck.

It sounds like the vent door is stuck.Inside the heat/ac vent box is a few doors that move to change the flow of air to where you want it.Try getting a flashlight and looking underneath the dash to see if you can find what looks like levers sticking out of the box.If you find them squirt it with wd40 and try working the adjustment controls. If you have metal wire cables controling it try moving the levers under the dash gently but not too forcefully

You probably have a vacuum line broken or disconnected, the doors inside your hvac housing require engine vacuum, to operate properly, if they are not getting any vacuum, everything blows out on top.

yeah first off try changing the setting on the fan thing as to which side the air should go.. but if it still doesn't work ur lines r damaged so get them checked out on the next service interval..
