In high school we did this sociology project where I walked around a crowded mall for an hour with toilet paper hanging out the back of my pants. NOT ONE person told me. The "observers" in my group saw people point, laugh, turn away. One girl tried to pull it off without me noticing. One kid wanted to tell me but her mother wouldn't let her.
We didn't come to any hard conclusions, but kind of hypothesized that other people take on your embarrassment. Or people are just jerks. Whatever.

Not yet... and hopefully not. But it would be fun for those who see... and extremely embarassing for me. An open fly would just be one sign of sloppiness.
