Ive been playing guitar for a while now. I currently have an Encore Strat but now that im no longer a begginner, its time to get a better guitar. I was just wandering a about the advantages and disadvantages of different guitar types (like strats, les paul, sg etc.) I dont want to spend more than £500 but may go over if its definitely worth it.

I love my Ibanez Prestige 1570. Thin neck, and 24 frets.
