you can select the person's reply as "best answer", then you can leave comments for him/her.

Click on the icon or name of the person who sent the answer and you'll get their details. You might be able to then click on an email link so you can send a message direct to that person. Sometimes people don't want to be contacted though so you'll just have to do it on your question page.

You can add details to your question on the toolbar underneath it or click ion the persons name under their pic to send them a personal email. Otherwise just give their answer Best Answer and they'll get 10 points, that's a nice thank you!
