a kite is a smaller bird that is faster in the air and can dodge through obstacles like trees. eagles are huge in comparison slower moving and can take bigger prey lambs and such. kites can hover the same as kestrels and falcons and usually perch to see their prey, eagles soar high above in circles looking before striking for dinner. falcons will perch see the prey fly up about 100 feet and hover while it gets a lock on the target. eagles will be a lot higher up.

Kites are generally smaller (20-50cm), more mobile, and smaller-beaked than eagles (55-80cm). They're in the same family, and it looks like some people call the Brahminy kite an eagle, which might add to your confusion. It's much easier in the US, where our kites are small and grey and our eagles are big and brown.

I've seen kites hover. Eagles can back a bit, but not hover like a kite.

A kite is a toy and an eagle is a bird. Other than the fact that they can both fly, they don't have too much in common.

a different species. kites are smaller, faster, more maneuverable in air. they cannot breed with one another, but are related, like falcons, kestrels, hawks, etc. check out a bird book and you can see the difference. their wing shape and bodies are different as well.
