As a very beginner you can try geocities. The link is http://geocities.yahoo.com/ They will have some templates and some web based tools to help you creating a web site. This is for free. So you’ll get ads around your web page. But once you become an experienced web designer you can buy your own domain and try the site with good softwares like Dreamweaver 8, Flash 8 Professional Photoshop CS2, etc

You can develop your site in a number of ways:

1. You can signup for a free hosting service provider like geocities or brinkster.

2. You can buy a domain name and server space from any leading web hosting parties.

To develop web pages it is better if you have some knowledge in HTML. You still can use some web authoring tools like Macromedia Dreamweaver or Adobe GoLive to create your page even if you have no idea about HTML.

After creating your web page copy and store it in your server space. Once you store that in a public server then it is visible then type the web address using which you can access it.

Thats it
