My friends have one in thier house. It makes that 'smell', which kind of makes me feel sickish. On the verge of nausea, but not quite.

I don't know anyone personally.

But Consumer Reports stated that the ground level ozone produced by those systems (as advertised on television) exceeded EPA guidelines in their testing. Consumer Reports is an unbiased broker of information.

I think those machines are a gimmick, just packaged a lot nicer so it doesn't appear as junk science to regular Joes.
