Yes. Any career can make it impossible to get and maintain relationship especially those involved irregular shift. At the end of the day, it is up to individual to determine whether they want a stable career and relation or they preferred to choose one over the other

I'm a trainee paramedic and have to work 4x12 hour shifts including night shift so it is kind of difficult to maintain a relationship with people who have a 9-5 job. I'm still currently at university so its not so bad but in the future i do see it as being a problem i don't fancy going out with someone from the same job as me as i think that would be boring. but who knows what the future holds?

I think when it comes to geting, creating or maintaining a relationship, career can not be a hinderance. It all depends on how a person manages his/her time.

yeah unsocial hours is a night mear not only do u have trouble meeting people thenyou have the stress of holding em down due to the fact ur partner wants to spend time with you grrrrr
