If it is your first child, the movement will be felt after approx 20 weeks, this is because you are not aware of what you are feeling. For mothers who are having 2nd, 3rd.. and so on, they know what the movement is, so they recognize it sooner. I felt movement in the 17th week with my current pregnancy. They are so small, they are not strong enough yet to put enough pressure on your stomach to feel them.. but in an ultrasound, you get to see them active and moving all over. Too cute. Good luck!

Most women will feel the baby move around the 20th week. However some women don't even know its the baby moving because they just think they have gas. If you've had more then one baby then you usually can start feeling the baby earlier because you know how to recognize it because you've done it before. Some babies are more active then others. Towards the end of your pregnancy the baby moves more and by the 9 month they may slow down their movements because there is less room in your tummy for them to move.

Movement can usually be felt in the 4th month (14-17 weeks), it usually feels like a flutter to you. The baby can also be felt by others at this time, you might even see you stomach move when the baby does.
The movement is felt the most after a meal or after you eat something with sugar, like candy or pop.
Movement is the most active in the 7/8th month, around the 9th month the baby will move a lot but not as active as the 7/8th month.

Usually by the fourth month. If you have had a baby before you may feel it sooner. If you haven't had a baby before the first movements feel like butterflies, or like if you have to pass gas and hold it in... just little flutters. As for why the baby moves. Its alive in there growing bigger and stronger. Different movements you do may make him move but for the most part he'd be moving around anyhow. I think about the 7th month mine was more active. Then he started slowing down because he was running out of room.

Usually with first babies can be felt around 18-20 weeks... in subsequent pregnancies it can be a lot earlier (like 13 weeks). The baby moves for many reasons... up until your 3rd trimestes there is more water than baby in the uterus & the baby is floating freely with plenty of room to stretch, kick, and wiggle. I found I had the most fetal activity in the 7th month. Good luck! Enjoy it while you can!

I felt the baby the day I was going in for my 20 month ultrasound lol. The baby didn't like my very full bladder I guess. Usually they say wiht your first baby it will be around 18-22 weeks and if its your 2nd or 3rd or whatever you could feel it as early as 14

If you lay really really still and quiet, you may feel something like gas bubbles at about 4 months, thats when I did. To feel him/her strong, I felt about late 5 months early 6months. I had a friend that didnt feel her baby until she was 8months though, so I think it depends on the person and maybe how big you were before pregnancy. GOOD LUCK - it is an amazing feeling!

I started feeling my babies move during the fourth month. I would feel my little ones move right after I laid down in bed and was trying to settle in for the night. The bigger your baby gets and the farther you get along in your pregnancy the more you will feel your baby move.

the baby usually moves in the forth or fifth month, and the reason u feel it is because it is bigger now, when it really starts to move at 12 weeks but just too small to feel
