Humans are used like battery by the Artificial Intelligence 2 suit their energy requirements. A group of rebels, led by Morpheus discovers this and try counter-attacking them. They save Neo, and call him- the "One", Its bcoz Neo, has the capability of altering the Matrix according 2 his own wish and there was a prediction that he will save the mankind (interchanging alphabets in NEO will give u ONE)
