u take roman numerals. 12 = XII and 7= VII no cut 12 in half so cut the XII and on top u will have VII which equal ls 7

You can't 1/2 of 12 is 6... Unless you mean 7+5 because that = 12... But dividing 12 by 7 doesn't equal 5 it equals 1.71...

I'm hopeless at maths, if I have six pennies and another six pennies I have twelve pennies... how do I get 14, if half of 12 is 7... let me in on the secret!
