Irregular periods can be as a result of stress, poor diet, being over or underweight, or as a result of a medical condition, for example fibroids or PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) http://www.womens-health.co.uk/pcos.asp

But most medical conditions affecting fertility can be treated. For example my best friend has PCOS, but with diet and lifestyle changes and consulting a Naturopath her periods became regular and she now has a gorgeous 4 year old little boy.

If you are really concerned then I would consult your Doctor.

To answer your question about having children some day. It's possible for irregular periods to cause problems if a woman is trying for a family, as it is difficult for her to know when her most fertile time is, and if she could be pregnant. But you are very young and have time on your hands to get your periods sorted out before you need to worry about it's affect on your fertility.

I wish you lots of luck hon, take care, (((hugs)))

First of all you need to stop panicing about it, worrying about getting your period could be the cause of stress that's preventing it from happening. Weight only effects your period if you are extremely over or under weight. Some women just don't have regular periods but have no problems getting pregnant so until you are at that stage of trying for a baby don't spend to much time thinking about it as its yet more stress. I would suggest if you are that worried about it you start an exercise routine, eat a healthy diet and set a regular sleeping pattern.

Sometimes a change in eating habits and a little exercise can make a really big difference. Try that and see if it works. If the problem is only caused by weight or stress, it should not keep you from being able to get pregnant in the future.

properly in the journey that your a virgin, then you definitely won't be able to be pregnant. you could in basic terms have a extraordinary familiar era. What i mean by ability of that's: you nevertheless have a era each month even nonetheless it would desire to be a 28 day cycle one month then the subsequent it would desire to be 35. that's what i do. i might wait till your late for 2 or 3 weeks earlier taking a being pregnant try. while i became youthful i might have a era for 2 weeks, then off for 2 weeks then on back for 2 weeks. I went to the physician and that they placed me on beginning administration. It helped lots with my sessions.

U r not ovulating regularly. I went a whole year without having a period and was not pregnant. I was trying to get pregnant but I did not as I was not ovulating. I also have a history of polycystic disease of my ovaries. I was not that interested in getting pregnant (which I finally did) but I had to have several surgeries for cysts on my ovaries that had to be removed. When u r interested in getting pregnant, u may have to take some hormones to get u regular in your ovulating.
