There are a lot more people in this world then any one ever imagined that spend holidays alone. Many are separated from family and loved ones for a number of reasons, could be work, schooling, or crime related. Some people have just gotten fed up with the commercializing aspect of the holidays and refuse to even acknowledge them choosing to work or travel during this time. The less fortunate may try to ignore the holidays because their spirits have been broken by disillusionment due to financial problems or loss of a loved one or job. The mentally insane and the trauma victums spend the holidays locked up in themselves, unaware that a holiday is taking place. So yes, there are people that spend holidays "TOTALLY" alone

No I have it at my place and everyone is welcome,.Christmas should not be spent totally alone. That time of year is very dangerous for people who suffer from depression etc. and more suicides and family violence occurs at this time of year than any other time. people have a pre-conceived image of christmas as being happy families, presents and feasting. This is not always true. If I know someone who is spending it on their own I always invite them over. Even if you dont want to go to family or frirends or you dont have any or they are too far away try volunteering at one of the charities or soup kitchens on that day and you will not be alone and you will feel good about helping your community.

No. One time I spent Thanksgiving all alone. I was pretty sad. I think that we have been culturally and socially conditioned to spend these holidays, and any for that matter, with "people we love." And although that is a romantic view of holidays, I don't know if it is really all the necessary. All the parts that make spending the time with the loved ones (eating, cooking, sharing gifts) are not all that necessary. Really, the celebrations are of giving thanks, celebrating the birth of Jesus, and for Easter celebrating his coming back. That's my opinion.

No one would like to spend Christmas alone....
but if you are spend Christmas alone
it must really be last thing to do on earth.

But some lonely people like to be alone,
let it may be Christmas or any other occasion.

odd question, but i have spent a few Christmas"s alone,it never bothered me,i enjoy the time of the year,i can go at it alone and still have a smile,i just do things that reminded me of when i was a kid, watch the Christmas movies, make foods, keep the spirit alive, hell i went for like three years without even getting presents...but that was OK,i don't have a family, and my friends did their family things,so i would just go at it alone....don't let it get you down if it does.....you have yourself....and you like the same things.....see it really works out for you.....people get depressed around that time of the year, but depending on your social behavior, and you just don't want to be alone..theirs kids in hospitals in your area who will be alone, and other places like that,or just relax and know that for every alone Christmas their will be one filled with friends and at one point you will wish you were alone again....sometimes i do....but then watching my daughter open her gifts is fun......

If you mean without the company of another person, yes. This however is not entirely true. Jesus, whose birthday we celebrate on Christmas is present with us always.
