...and threatening to 'shut-down' my computer if I don't keep clicking 're-start later'?
It means - if I leave the computer for a few minutes, it could shut down while I'm gone.
This is NEW, within the last 2-3 weeks.
HELP! Its driving me nuts?
Looks like its a 'Windows' pop-up.
It says "your computer hasn't been re-started since last updates..." and it even said this the minute I started up?

If you mean windows updates, then you can turn them off by right clicking on my computer then left clicking on properties.
Select the automatic update tab.
Check the box next to turn off automatic updates.

Restarting PC after getting important updates from microsoft is normal . If your computer never shut down since last 2-3 weeks , let the pc shut down and watch it is still popping up or not.

u have to set the days wen u want to automatically update (e.g. monday tuesday etc) i think this is done in control panel, under security centre and then Automatic updates at the bottom of the screen. or u can simply turn it off and update manually wen u wnat.

You have to actually enable the update (click "yes") then it will reboot and not re-appear. The message is a warning that you should save and exit all programs becuase the reboot is essential.

sounds like you have a bogus copy of windows on your computer. Did you buy this computer used? if so sounds like its a fake copy. it will not stop untill you either install a real copy or go enter the correct "key" in your system. this has happened to me, i bought a laptop on ebay and they said it was a genuine copy of windows, 4 months latter I started to get the message you got, and found out that they guy put a fake copy on it. I had to go buy windows to get it to stop it. good luck
