Yes. whilst I find it a bit annoying that whilst I only produce half a bag of non recyclable rubbish a week, I still pay the same amount to have it removed as the house next door which produces on average 7 full bags a week, I don't see how tagging will help. Fly tipping is already a big problem in my local area, by making people pay more to have it removed, then I can only imagine that it will increase the fly tipping. A good start would be for the city council to reinstate their recycling collections, we have nothing, not even paper, when last year we had curbside collections for paper, glass, tins, and garden waste. I object to paying more for a reduced service. as we all do!

Big brother is watching your wheelie bin via weight watching id tags..

Wow!! anybody else think its a mad idea?... Should this idea take off and households get charged for the amount of trash they dump.. then its likely that it will cause some people to dump trash anywhere instead of in their bins.. I can see the lanes of good ole England looking more like trash tips!..
Then who'll have to pay to clean up the mess?.

I actually don't know what the tags are, but I grit my teeth when I see an expression like Wheelie Bin.
It looks as though the mental age of the average Briton is about 3.

Absolute nonsense - I will be removing mine - I hope people use their heads when it comes to voting time and not have their head in the bin.. I will burn mine first - The Council in Glasgow banded about the Bin Tax threat for a while - £1 on every Black bag that wouldn't fit in the Bin. Hope you remove yours..Best Wishes..

They are a sad indicment of todays society. We all pay to have our refuse to be collected, this is just another way of raising more money.

Im all in favour of reducing, reusing and recycling but as our household has two toddlers I guess we will be penalised soon for all those disposable nappies! and the extra waste that comes from a family.

If this silly idea comes into force - expect our hedges and streets to be littered with rubbish.

its a bit of a waste of money.surely its not hard for people to put the correct things in the bins rather than having to be watched. surely the council can spend the money on doing parks up for children or something worthwhile
