There is no way in HELL Britain will ever be part of the USA! Don't insult us!

I just wish we had a Prime Minster with enough guts and pride in his country to stand up and tell the Americans to fcuk off!!! Why the hell should we go running after them into every war they decide to start? They actually funded IRA terrorism against us!!!

We will NEVER be part of them and I take great offence at anyone even insinuating it! I take it this is just an attempt to offend Brits is it?

Oh and Abularaby -

my main concern is for MY people being blown to bits in London on 7/7 by Muslims trying to kill "infidels". Why should I care about Muslims if they don't care about us? You seem to think we should be showing so much compassion to Muslim states like Afghanistan and Iraq when the people of those states hate us for not being Muslim and want to kill us? We're not stupid!

If your not a United State your part of the enemy. And given that they are the ones with the weapons of mass destruction and disregard for human life, unless it's US citizens, it's better to be on their side.
We only have strategic launch sites and no independent capability.A bit like having a gun and bullets but no fingers.

The United Kingdom is becoming the side-kick of USA in invading countries suspected to cuddle terrorists. It is now a dreaded tandem-USA-UK, in the world community.

No! UK has never been as close in its history to US like it is now. May be it does good for the British economy, but definitely not good for the rest of the world. Most British cares more about their life style than the thousands killed in Afghanistan and Iraq!

Yup, as long as Bush and Blair are in charge of their respective countries it seems like the UK is indeed the 53rd state!

Not really. Just because we're military allies doesn't mean to say they have any hold over our local and national politics any more than we do over them. It's american corporations that do!

You're far too late - we've been the 51st state of America for many years.
