I've noticed the younger the bride, the more they're treated like the husband's property.

One thing is to be treated as furniture, something that always stays at home at the husband's disposal and another is to want to be treated in such a way.
Does anybody like to become a thing? Things are being used, neglected and replaced when convenient or as soon as a new model appears.
I do not think that a single person would choose to be treated in such a way if he/she is mature enough as to understand the consequences of this abuse.
In relation with the younger the bride...the more immature they tend to be. Therefore, they have less life experience and the arrogance of the youth as to disregard the older people's advices.
In some cultures, women are certainly objects, not subjects. Man made religion put the sin on women since the weak and dummy men are not able to take responsibility of their own mistakes.
Way in the back is a good reason to keep the woman at home, to make her feel less and less important. Till they become a part of the household as reproductive and cleaning machine.
I have seen these phenomena in different cultures, all over the world and I refuse to be treated as a Multipurpose Moulinex, but the truth is the society still does not forgive an independent woman - in 2006 -
Sure some changes happened thanks to brave women that fought for our rights all over the world and they keep on doing it.
In the meantime, we can be happy if we can find some exceptional men that are also trying to change because they understood that this situation is indeed unfair for women.

my husband is the money maker in our family-I am the money holder. He works from 3am to 6 pm Monday-Friday. I cook almost everynight for him and I wash his clothes. Sometimes I put up his clothes, but he has to bring them to the dirty clothes pile. I also tend to our 3 children. I spend a lot of time without him because of his work. I was brought up that a woman's first job is her family. They are all well taken care of. When he is home he plays with the kids, bathes them, puts them to bed, things like that. He even fixes my plate and brings it to me when I am nursing the baby. And burps her so I can finish eating. He is not perfect, but neither am I. It seems that after 10 years and 3 kids we make it work. He has never treated me like his property, nor I him. We joke about it, but have never thought that way.

I wanna get the sense im protected so yes i would sort of like to be property but i dont want to be tied down at job opportunities and parties etc. I like to be independant at certain times and be able to do what i want when i want. Just make my own choices and not listen to someone shadowing me.

Yea, I am young and I am my husbands property!!! He can do what he wants with me! At least we joke about it. But seriously, I do take care of him and do what he wants. He deserves it, he is the hardest working person I know. I do have my bachelors degree and we don't have kids but my job right now is to take care of him. I like doing that and he likes it to.
