German is a very difficult language to learn, so it may set you back much more than two years. I would finish high school in English. You could still keep in touch with your ma in many other ways.

No wonder it's a tough decision for you. But all I could suggest you is that think yourself what really you want to do with your life. There is no point staying in Germany if you are not very happy learnning German (which most people say is easiest language). But if you choose second option and if you can't live without your Mom(which is not impossible) that's a trouble again. Just give a though to all the possibities that you might just come across and I am sure you would do good. Good luck!!!

The smart thing to do is to go to Germany. You will be around those who truly love you. Not that your friend doesn't, but she's not blood and if something major happens to you (and it often does in life) you can't count on friends as you would your mother. Also, you will learn much more by experiencing a little culture than by taking the easy road.

Tough one. I don't know whether I would have been happy being away from my family for so long when I was in HS. We argued a lot, but I loved them and there were so many good times. I think I'd go to Germany. Don't split up your family.
Good luck!

Personally, I would leap at the chance to go to Germany and learn the language, but that's me. Whatever flips your switch, love. Figure out what you really want, coz you gotta give something up, no matter what. Like they say, when you reach for a dream, you gotta leave something behind.

Listen.. go to Germany.. it is no so hard to learn a new language and make a new wonderful experience with your family... It will be much harder to stay there with your friends.. due to nostalgia and loneliness is worst... Believe me..

WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO IS whats in your heart,,,personally i would take the easy way and skip a school year with a friend...but if you really miss your family you need to go home...
ONLY YOU CAN DECIDE..

Go with your family, you'll end up missing them i was in a similar situation growing up and I missed my parents terribly. The language you'll be surprised how fast you'll pick it up especially being in the Country where they speak it constantly. You cannot regain the years lost without your loved ones.
