Too early to say...I don't think they are finished yet....not by a LONG chalk

Neither won, because when the fighting stopped, nothing had been achieved. The only difference that month made, was the loss of over 1,000 lives, thousands of homeless people and a wrecked country. Now I wonder who will pick-up the tab for all the rebuilding and how many more lives will be lost whilst trying to clear-up all the unexploded bombs in Lebanon? All just a terrible waste.

The munitions industry is the only winner of most modern conflict. It's incredible that there are these huge companies who absolutely rely on the outbreak of wars to keep their books in order. Most likely they actively lobby to encourage conflict. First against the wall and shot with thier own bullets when the revolution comes perhaps. (of course, where do revolutionaries get their weapons?).

Nobody won.

Hezbollah's infrastructure has been smashed to pieces, and Israel have lost any lingering remnants of respect they had in the international community.

The Lebanese people are the real losers though.

Nobody won. The U.N. stepped in and saved Hezbollah's bacon, so they can re-arm and get ready for round 2.

Aren't you all sick and tired of asking the SAME questions?

Hezbollah is one of these organizations that NEVER looses. What ever happens to them is always projected as victory by their people and their supporters. You can kill 1000 of their fighters and they will tell you only 2 of them got killed.

IF YOU WANT TO DECLARE A WINNER YOU HAVE TO ASK A QUESTION- WHAT DID THEY WIN?
BOTH SIDES ARE LOOSERS- THOSE PEOPLE KNOW NOTHING BUT WAR- IF THEY DIDN'T KILL EACH OTHER THEY WOULDN'T KNOW WHAT TO DO. THEY HAVE BEEN FIGHTING FOR SO LONG. WHAT ELSE DO THEY KNOW/
