His stories often are that way but hang in there if Stephens style is you 're cuppa fear he usually does not disappoint. I loved needful things very original.
"A Slow start, meaty in the middle, dessert at the end!
Bag of Bones is another King classic put your feet up, cover up to the neck.(go on you know you want to)
Leave a few lights on and enjoy the ride I mean read.
