When I heard about Layne Staly, Dimebag Darrel, Bradley Nowell, I actually got pissed off. I wanted to fight anyone who said anything bad about those bands. How do you feel?

All my favourite musicians are already dead..
..for some reason they're everyone's favourite when that happens

Sad to a degree, but you have to accept it as a fact of life...though sometimes the tragedy is senseless...the ones that stick out most for me, for some reason, are Keith Moon and Jerry Garcia...never the biggest fan of either the Who or the Dead, but those two hit me hard as hell..was in college when Moon died, and was sort of in shock...working when Jerry passed, and oddly I had to get some new dress clothes that week, and just was totally drawn to Jerry's necktie designs...weird how some things hit you...
and odder personal note...my birthday is February 3, 1959 (I swear)...the day the music died...Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and the Big Bopper...when my father died unexpectedly (on Christmas Eve, yet, but over 20 years ago), took me two hours to find something to listen to to take the silence away, but not remind of anything else sad...ended up throwing on Buddy's greatest...so I guess long as the music and memories are inside you, they're still alive...

Ya,..I was really shocked when Layne Staly overdosed. Alice in
Chains was really one of my fav groups.I just thought Scott
Weliand, from STP would have too. But he didn't....I think the 1st
time I really was bummed was when Lynard Skynard's plane
crashed. I cried and my friends too, as we watched the news.
You know, it's always a sad thing, cause you wonder how much
more cool music they would have played....It's like they check out
early, from life. And they had no choice at all. But that makes us
love them even more......the music they left us. It's cool.

I felt bad when Aaliyah died. Not that she was my fave, but she was good, and she was young when she died.

My classmate's brother was depressed when B.I.G. died. He wore the shirt that of him when he found out.

sad/angry.

but then, there's still his/her music to listen to, so it should be okay at the end of the day.
