I'm getting questioned why I stated "black boys" no other reason then the fact of higher incarceration rate in a lot of areas for black men ...because those areas focused more in putting tax payer money to building more jails then schools...and you know the result of such a formula. sadly but true in America "black boys/men" get stronger and longer sentences for the same crimes then any other race except hispanic. I just want to give my kid a fair and balance chance thats all. Believe me Im a very strict parent..and my kid he is only 10 , but always make honor roll in school and has great manners and great goals in life I just want less obstacles for him to reach it..color of one skin in america is an obstacle. Even , if you want to live in denial those who are effected by it , know it is true. please if you want to contribute to my answer I dont need the philosophies. I already know them all .(not being rude) I just need the city name and some factual statistics as to why! thanks

As a young African American Man who has succeeded in spite of some challenges, I strongly believe in safe environments for children, and I understand and respect your question, although I respectfully believe the race issue my not be an important factor in this case. With the love that you are investing in him, I’m more than certain he will grow up just fine. And to answer you question, I would begin by checking the criminal statistics by State and Community at the “Bureau of Justice Statistics” web site. It should give you all the criminal stats by community for the entire United States. Then from there, I would go to the U. S. government’s Department of Education’s web site and there you should find helpful information on safe schools and other statistics.

Same cities you would want to raise White, Asian, Hispanic, and any other child in. It's all a matter of what you can afford!! Better, {the more expensive} towns and cities, generally have better schools and lower crime rates.. Some cheaper, small towns are great too.. but getting a job there is another story altogether. I understand you wanting the best for your boys... but a GOOD parent can raise good kids anywhere. I still wonder why you said "black boys"....?

The city doesn't matter much, after all the city is not going to raise them. The best thing is for there to be a loving family and good role models. They need a loving mother AND a strong father who loves the mother. Having other successful black role models and mentors is good too. Join a good church that can provide them guidance and the roles models they need. Teach them by example and the city doesn't matter.

first of if you're calling your kids "blackboys" i dont think it will matter where you raise them. You've already shown some ignorance towards their ethnicity and color which may or may not transfer to them.....
