I feel doctors should go on strikes instead on bearing humiliations and stoning but they should also not go on strikes at the cost of the patients

Why not? Afterall, doctors are also human being. They also need to be listened. They cannot just work on like machines.

Just yesterday 30/8/2006 a small girl died due to lack of medical care in Kerala as doctors were on 24 hrs strike(8 am to 8 am).

No one should go on strikes in fact
but unfortunately our system of working is such that during the working hours also so many man hours are wasted.
people have the tendency to waste time.
they donot want to work upto optimum. they r lazy.
they should show their resentment on the higher authorities but unfortunately the brunt is borne by the innocent public.
this is what is to be understood.
essential services should not hamper.
if they want to go on strike they should see that the patients are not effected. in turns they can go on strike
strike on the system than going for a holiday strike
strikes have lost their importance after independence.
its quite unfortunate that we have to fight with our own people who are a disgrace for human community.

Why not. If politicians are hell bent on pushing these country back 50 years so that they can survive, someone has to raise voice. The voice was heard becuse doctors raised it. Had it been engineers or CAs, nothing would have happened.

unfortunately doctors are ignored way 2 often and the only way they have of gettin need attention is by goin on strikes , even though its bad for their patients, they have to do it coz the y need gud equipment and stuff which theyre not gettin for their patients in the present state, they have no toher choice but to strike
