Okay, so here's the deal. For the past two days there are these kids (well this one particular kid) who likes to ride his bike up the driveway and start barking like a dog. He does this so then my dog starts barking, and since school hasn't started for me yet, sometimes he'll do it while I'm still sleeping, and it's really annoying. I know their just kids, so the first time he did it I jiggled the door handle which freaked him out and he road off. But then they came back today! I kinda enjoyed freaking him out and all, but I don't wanna do it every day, and I'd rather just have him stop altogether. Help please!

Confront him and let him know that his behaviour is not acceptable and that if he does it again you will be paying a visit to his parents. If you don't know who his parents are, then let him see you taking a picture of him and let him know that you will be seeing the police with his picture to let them find him and where he lives. I know that sounds extreme but you don't even have to actually do it, just the thought is enough to scare the c**p out of most kids. Kids need to know that you aren't going to take their s**t behaviour and they are more likely to respect you, even if it's just to leave you be.

Have you talked to him, explained that it isn't nice to tease the dog, and it wakes you up. He might be a nice enough child to stop, especially if your nice and friendly to this child. Also positive reinforcement is a powerful tool, if he stops make sure to praise the child the next time you see this child. It would be even better if you could give him some candy or cookies for being a good kid, but you would need the child's parents permission to do this.

I would have a talk with his Mom. I have had problems like that before and when I went and talked to the Mom or Dad it stopped immediately. Sometimes we parents need to know these things because we haven't got a clue.

Just go out and ask them to stop if, but be nice about it like come up with another game for them to play that a little more quite but just as exciting, if that doesn't work go to their parents.

If he comes back go out there and ask him not to come back. Just ask him nicely or make up a story about how your dog is sick and needs to rest and tell him that he could die if it does not get the rest that it needs... or something like that....

Are you an adult? If so, I would nip ths thing in the bud!!! I would be very annoyed. Speak to his parents. Explain to them how annoying it is to you. I STRONGLY suggest that when you speak to them, be calm,NOT nasty, and concise with your thoughts. Try to keep your words in the " I." Meaning, try not to say things like," HE drives me crazy" or "YOUR kid is...". That will most likely make them defensive. If the problem does not stop, I would speak to the authorities.

Next time he comes let him know what he is doing is rude and annoying and to stop doing it or tell his parents. You have a right to peace and quiet at your own home.

Make him think you are really disturbed, next time he does it, run out and act like a crazy person, scream all sorts of ridiculous things and move spasmodically.
