There's no proof of his existence, but there's scientific evidence why man has developed a need for god and distorted world view.

Religion and god is as real as the tooth fairy....primitive man needed the 'religious experience' to survive in a hostile universe. The unknown was explained by the supernatural, the idea of an afterlife cushioned people from the grim aspects of death, in short, it was a survival mechanism developed within the temporal lobe of all human brains.

Modern man has developed rational thought and controls much of the environment, to the extent of knowing how 'things operate'. But obsolete genes do not die overnight, therefore you'll always be seeing people believing in religion, god and the supernatural.

I read about some interesting studies by scientists of the temporal lobe regions that are 'mis-firing' or giving off 'unbalanced' neuroligical signals. Some of the studies are intrigueing, they can duplicate 'religious experiences' in blind tests of humans.

It was already known that the more primitive limbic system of our brains contain the raw emotion where our religious beliefs spring forth. The development of the cerebral cortex (or the thinking and rational part of the brain) is only a recent development in humans, say the last 40,000-100,000 years.

It is also well known that the 'god-gene' (for lack of a better description) is triggered during times of duress, high anxiety, near death or starvation, and other high emotional episodes.

Yes, I have seen God and you have seen God also, but maybe you don't know you did. Every moment we are seeing God in His impersonal feature. All manifestations, both spiritual and material, are His energy and the energy can be considered one with the energetic. Just as the sun's heat and light can also be considered the sun, God's energy can be considered God also. When we wake up in the morning and see sunlight or when we feel the sun's heat we say we're in the sun. We're in God all the time because we're in His energy.

At the same time God has His personal feature, His own transcendental body, His own individual existence. To see the Lord's personal form is not a cheap or easy thing. One must be qualified to see God. In the Bhagavad-gita the Lord says that only a person who is purified by constant engagement in pure devotional service will be able to see Him. There have been many people who have seen the Lord because throughout history and even at the present time there are pure devotees of the Lord on the planet. But even if one of them were to say to you that he/she has seen or is seeing the Lord, how would that help you? His seeing of the Lord is his personal vision, but to have your own experience of seeing the Lord, you need to do the work of purification yourself.

What is better than working to see the Lord is working so the Lord will see you. In other words, you can attract the Lord's attention by your pure devotional service and that is the best attitude to have.

Theoretically, no god (and that includes the Greek and Roman, as well as the other thousands of gods,) can be proven or disproven. That's why you have faith. In essence, everyone is an agnostic, as no one is truly sure (or at least, no one can proof positively there is or isn't a god).

I don't believe in a god, and am pretty sure he doesn't exist. Again, that is my opinion. But the facts are slanted to my beliefs.

In order to invalidate the bibull, technically only one thing needs to be proven false.. and many of its "facts" have been disproven (the earth is NOT 6000 years old). Not to mention its many verses that contradict each other.

For argument's sake - I believe there's a teapot orbiting the sun. Can you prove to me there isn't?

As a cockroach does not know the presence of a man but feels its vibrations and runs away in fear so would we if we were to really know God. If there is a God he is so mammoth and incomprehensible to puny human intellect that we might even go insane to think of him the way the Egyptian pharaoh Akhenaten supposedly went insane in Armana when he spent too much time praying in this desert oasis and shrine to the sun god, Aten, who returned the favor by giving him sun strokes for his obsession. Story books would not begin to capture or delineate the essence of God, so why read religious dogma or imagine yourself alligned with fables? Why not seek to do charitable and compassionate work with others that extends a being beyond his selfish domain, engenders him satisfaction of having done virtuous acts, and pushes him slightly toward godhood. Why don't we try to become Gods the best that we can even though we are human beings with human foibles

Gods are objects in a belief system therefore to those who believe, there is a god. That follows for whatever religion they believe.

Atheists do not believe in God but recognise other peoples right to believe and worship who and what they wish so long as it does not impact on others.

So yes there are lots of Gods in lots of different religions but only to those that believe.

Look around you, look at you, ask yourself where do all good feeling and good things come from, ask yourself why this world has not exploded yet, why meteors don't crash the planet to the point of destroying humanity, why have you never been killed, why is your heart still beating, why are you still breathing, and why are you asking this question. I don't know you, but you know yourself, so you could spend the rest of your life asking such questions, and the answer is so simple: God is still there... and He still loves you so much!

The answer is yes and no both.

The difference is what are you searching for?

If you try to feel His presence in your life you can easily recognize him.

But if you keep on searching for evidents to prove that He does not exist. Then he does not exist.
