If you bought regular clothing, how much would it cost for the whole year.Does the school provide the uniforms or you allowed to buy from any outlet you want.It could be called a monopoly,of a situation, were you have no choice.Tucking your shirt in ,this preparing you for to stay neat and sharp for the big world, after Graduation.

A lot of the problems which started schools insisting on uniforms in recent years were due to spoilt kids wearing designer stuff to school and making the poorer ones(or ones with moral values) unable to keep up and get picked on. Having a uniform is an effort to make everyone the same-nobody better dressed-nobody boasting etc.It also is aimed at making you feel "a part of something" and to give you a "sense of belonging". Unfortunately it is overpriced as the schools all have their own logos and that means you cant go to Asda(Wallmart)and buy it. It would be fair if no designer logos were allowed and you wore a pin on or sew on badge which showed your school/house logo and you could put this on schoolwear of any price. I agree with uniforms for the reasons stated but I disagree with the ripoff prices. It is both private schools and comprehensive schools which do this. The private ones -fair enough as the parents can indeed afford it(part of the package of privilege)but the comp kids are paying way over the odds. There again-how much does your average outfit cost that you wear out on the street? It is often far more than a school outfit and a lot of people dont begrudge this. Having a uniform also saves you having to buy lots of different outfits(otherwise yr mates say"not wearing that AGAIN" and saves the problem of having to decide what to wear each day. I doubt this is what you realy wanted to hear-but as a parent I can see the good parts.

Count yourself lucky mine cost £220 and that was just my blazer, jumper, and pe stuff. We still had to buy shirts, skirts, stationary etc etc.And what annoyed my parents we didn't even use the PE kit or the football boots, so that was like £90 wasted. Also, we have to change our ties 3 times in 5 years and a jumper change.
And the jumpers are so bright.Well, im surprised that your friend was punished for not having a blazer, there is a uniform supplied for those who cant afford it, if the parents apply.
Well that's probably just my school.

anything that has to do with school has a higher price tag. For instance teachers have to purchase items with a purchase order through a school approved catalog. when the same item is on the shelf at walmart for half the cost. Same goes for uniforms, uniform shops are limited, therefore, they can monopolize and increase the cost.

I'm speechless. The price for the uniforms are more than the cost of gold.Don't you think? You should have raised your voice otherwise you should have complained against them. You has the right to fight against injustice. You can say your view points by telling the cost of living of the poor people as well as the middle class family.

There are some catholic schools in America where the children must wear a uniform. And I know of one private school where girls must wear white shirts and green knee length skirts and boys must wear ties, white shirts and green trousers. Supposedly, it is for conformity. I don't think it works.
The last time I was in England, it was 1995. How much is the pound now to a dollar?

some schools in Kansas or you can say the united states are wanting to go to uniforms.. my home school was a country school and they were so picky but we choose on what we wore except we couldnt wear shorts sandals and other stuff. boys werent allowed to have their hair touching their colars or ears and they couldnt have hair on their face and couldnt have ear rings or anywhere else. the skirts for the girls had to be almost to their knees. and we had no AC.... after I graduated they talked about going to a uniform. but they havent yet. one day I am sure they will. that school is a very picky and old fashion school. but right now I have heard they are letting boys have facial hair and ear rings. and they are now allowing shorts to be wore. and sandals. oh yeah now they have AC. it was something that none of us liked but it was something we got use to. you have to pay the price to go to school regardless of what it is.. stupid.. the state pays them to teach us so why do we have to pay to go to school... it is manatory... so it isnt just your country it is even in the STATES.

i'm continually surprised at how faculties imagine that controlling the type is more beneficial important than education O.o i do not comprehend it and that i in no way will. it type of feels that folk do not word that in case you in no way study what form of clothing to positioned on in public, once you end college you'd be dressing weird and wonderful for the subsequent few years until eventually you ultimately study (funniest difficulty is sitting at college observing the recent toddlers sparkling out of highschool... they offer the impact of being hilariously inept at dressing themselves properly). in my view instructors ought to concentration on preparation you, not making a way spectacle... notwithstanding it thems the regulations and they lack the actual looking theory which in a perfect international all instructors ought to have, nicely.... Get the moms and dads in touch. i'm sensible there's a %commitee? cause them to do the insurrection and stay out of their way. quite sensible moms and dads do not favor to waist funds for a school's unusual decision of a diverse uniform. I advise, what, you're IQ will drop in case you do not replace uniform? unusual...
