Mine is Pride and Prejudice but I also like Emma a lot.
Of course all her novels are very nice.

"Pride and Prejudice". I often identify with Lizzy in terms of her difference from her family-being the most sensible member of the Bennets- as well as the obstacles she had to face(regarding Mr Darcy) due to her lack of good education and humble birth. Did you watch the latest screen adaptation with Keira Knightley starring as lead role? Personally, I really liked the film! Keep enjoying Jane's novels; she rocks! :)

I know this is a bit cliched but my favourite would have to be Pride & Prejudice. I think it's the finest example of Jane Austen's wit and sense of caprice. Emma is rather entertaining too even though you can tell from the very first page who Emma will fall in love with.

oh I'm a Pride and Prejudice fan too.
I love that book. It's so well written , so poetic , so nice !
I like the way she discribes things in that book. You learn
about the tradition , the customs and the everyday life of people that lived at that time .

I have only read Pride and Prejudice. This is a really good book but was ruined by GCSE English Literature. I recently read it for the first time since my GCSEs just for the hell of it and enjoyed it SO much!

Ok, what do you mean by best?

Pride and Predjudice: Wittiest

Emma: Most Perfect

Persuasion: Darkest and most beautiful

Mansfield Park: Most Complex and profound

Nothanger Abbey: Most satirical

Sense and Sensibility: hmmm...best adapted to film???

and to be more provoking

Sanditon: greatest unfinished novel: would've been a lacerating satire on health.

I would say "Pride and Prejudice" but it's getting to be like "Romeo and Juliet" with that one. Every 12-year-old girl reads it and thinks they have a brain.

My favorite is probably Northanger Abbey.

Pride and prejudice - I fall in love with Mr Darcey every time. I thought the latest movie adaptation missed far too much and you didn't have the same feelings for him...

Northanger Abbey. Lots of people don't really get Jane Austen, because the irony is lost on them. They think she's a romantic novelist but she's satirical. I think Northanger Abbey is a good portrayal of someone taking things too literally and what she reads too seriously.

But they're all excellent.

Pride and Prejudice is the only book I read that she wrote, and I really liked it.
