my all time favorite is the phoenix. The Phoenix is the best known of the fabulous birds. It is a sacred bird with gold and red feathers, at times represented by a heron-like or eagle-like bird. It is said to have been born in the sun and to reincarnate itself from its own ashes. It is said to live for 500 years and goes to die to Heriopolis, the temple of the sun, after which it reincarnates itself from its ashes.

The symbolism of the Phoenix is diverse in its origins and in its meanings. The basic association is with the sun and it so appears in most of the interpretations. Its capacity of renewal is also universal. Clearly it stands for the human desire for renewal.

Well, she's not a creature, exactly... It's the Russian Witch, Baba Yaga. I'm fascinated by her for some reason.Supposed to be very wise, uses a mortar and pestle for transportation and lives in a house that hops about on one chicken foot. Not portrayed as the kindest old lady in the world either.

I love horses, so for me it's the unicorn, a horse with a horn in the centre of it's head, or pegusus the winged horse from greek mythology. Phoenix and dragons good choice too, but if I had to chose to be anything, it would be a shape shifter, imagine being able to change into any creature you wanted too? that would be amazing.

"It was massive, large enough to blot out the sun; entire armies crumbled before its awesome majesty. The wind from its wings was a gale that could snap trees like matchsticks. The greatest weapons of man were like children's toys to its impenetrable hide. Claws as long as a man is tall, and teeth sharp enough to slice through steel like a hot blade through so much butter. To look it in the eye was to know defeat, and its breath was a conflagration unlike any the world has seen before or since.

All this and more, summed in one word...

Dragon."

elves

as described in the "Lord of the rings" written by J. R. R. Tolkien. indeed, they appeared as an individual member of one of the races that inhabit the lands of Arda. they were "awakened" before Men by the creator of the universe,

The Elves named themselves Quendi ("the Speakers"), in honour of the fact that, when they were created, they were the only living beings able to speak.

Moreover, elves are naturally immortal. In addition to their immortality, Elves are immune to all diseases, and they can recover from wounds which would normally kill a mortal Man. However, Elves can be slain, or die of grief and weariness

Icarus.
Icarus was the son of Thaddeus, who had the genius idea of flying to see what it was like to a god.
So Thaddeus made wings. However, he made the mistake of making Icarus wings out of wax, so when Icarus flew too close to the sun, his wings melted and he drowned.

I like it because of the dedication on Icarus' part to follow Thaddeus as a good son, even if it risks drawing the anger of the gods.

It`s Apollo ... one of Zeus's many children and twin of Artemis, was born of Leto. Usually portrayed as a youth of great beauty, often with very effeminate features; on some coins he can be mistaken as female, but one should not be misled by this. He was a powerful god of great strength and prowess, once having fought Herakles on an equal footing. Vengeful and quick to bring disaster and death to those who stood against him, he could be equally compassionate to those who showed him favour.

Vampires are so fascinating and I like everything about them except they're blood sucker.
The legend says that Vampires are also immortal and powerful than any humans, so I would like to one. If I am a vampire I would totally be a day walker like my favorite movie stars BLADE, AND ANGEL. I would use serums rather than bloods to thirst my hunger. Also it's possible for human being to become a vampire, if they are infected by a vampire blood, so I at least have a chance or hope. I guess.

THE VAMPIRE!!!!!!

Mythology, I'll say Perseus and Brunhilde.

I don't know if it's mythology, some people may believe in her, but here she is: Kali, the four armed goddess of vengeance and her mate Shiva.
