I hate the "justice" system in the U.S. (being a victim of them). I have feelings of doing harm to them...that's how much I hate DAs, judges, lawyers, and cops. I've never felt so violent toward people, but I want to see them in PAIN of some sort. I like to journal, but am paranoid because of what cops did to even feel safe about venting feelings ("thought criminal") onto paper.

I just try not to think about it and busy myself, but what else can I do?

It will be kind of dragged out since there's a civil lawsuit for excessive force. For anyone against lawsuits, I'd rather not have filed one. It's not about the money. I'd rather get a sincere apology and vow from them to never do it again to someone else, but they never learn lesson so I must show them their errors.

With out knowing why you feel this way (what they did to you)
It is really hard to help you. But here is the best I can give you for now.

You can start by coming to terms with what has happened. Understand what went on and why they did what they did to you or whom ever. Then try to let go of the anger over that.

If you share with me what they did I could probably give you a better answer.

Since there is excessive force used in the case it is easy to see why you hate the judicial system. AND You have every right to be angry, mad, disappointed, afraid, and every other emotion that you feel !

Now how to handle it peacefully because you do not want to be the next victim.

First thing, The recordings could be used in a civil case so NIX the audio tapes. And also since this is in litigation do NOT speak of it until after the case is completely over.

Then take about 25% of what ever settlement you get and save it for taxes !!! They will hammer you if you don't pay your taxes on it.

Then pay the lawyer, and get a receipt for his services to deduct from your taxes.

Then if there is anything left over you can start your own anti-brutality organization.

This will be the best therapy for both of you. And you will be doing the entire community a favor as well.

Dear Julia--

I am sorry that you are in such turmoil. Hate can do a number on us. It is like a boil that churns in our heart and eats away the wonderful joys of this life. I hated once...a person...Why? I think it was because I was so disappointed in their behavior and how hurtful this behavior was in my life. I expected better and deserved better. To this day, that behavior has not changed much, but I have. I would never have dreamed it possible that hate would not be there. What changed my life forever? One night, I knelt down beside my bed and I lifted my heart to the Lord of the Universe. I prayed. I asked for forgiveness for allowing hatred to take over. I got off my knees and "felt" the same, but what I didn't realize, prayer is wonderful "medicine" that when applied, heals us. Every night I prayed; every time my thoughts would stray to this person, I prayed. The day came when I said with sheer delight...the hate is gone. My heart was healed. It has never returned! My heart is happy and I now realize that evil will always be around but I refuse to add more evil to an unhappy world. We have one life and God has a plan for this life. Overcome evil with good! Love never fails! Blessings to you dear one. I wish you healing, love, and light!

Try to forgive the people that did you wrong. There is nothing you can do now about what has already been done. Live a good, moral life and that will fill your heart up will love, leaving no room for hatred. Concentrate on the people that did you injustice, that they are no longer corrupt, so that they can not treat others like they treated you.

once you have an opinion approximately something or in case you do something out of the conventional, their are going to be people who will like it n then their would be some who will hate your guts for you taking that step, now if those are disagreeing have a valid factor to furnish, and makes finished experience you may take it yet whilst it particularly is stupid, ignorant and nonchalant it is going to needless to say be rejected for the guy isnt coming from the place you're coming from and you urself make experience of it n see extra logic in it then interior the argument placed forward islam has asked muslims to be sturdy to ppl and has suggested to be variety to fellow human beings regardless of the guy behaving with u except he has carried out injury it somewhat is of a extensive degree to you Allah says interior the Quran : Goodness and evil can on no account be equivalent. Repel evil with what's extra useful (or suitable). Then see: the single between whom and you there became enmity has replace right into a bosom pal. peace

For surges of raw hate, diazepam -- Valium.

For the rest: satire. Think of "The Producers": who could be more a legitimate object of hatred than Schickelgruber and his Nazis murderers, and Mel Brooks has done more to get back at them than anybody except Elie Wiesel and Simon Wiesenthal (and those working alongside, like Rabbi Abraham Cooper). And Mel Brooks gets the bigger audience, by far.

Miscarriages of justice are terrible things: people have been wrongly executed and it gets covered up. But this is a fact of life. I read the autobiography of Albert Pierrepoint and intend to buy the movie: but he was just doing his job, like any other. The whole system is like that. and as the great Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes said, he wasn't on the Supreme Court to "do justice", he was there to "play the game".

To preserve the integrity and image of government and society.

Luck, good and bad, has more to do with our lives than we care to admit.

Seek professional counseling. Anger management groups. Journaling is good. I do it and punch my pillow and scream into my pillow sometimes. If you keep the anger in you will explode some day. I suggest finding a psychologist or a counselor that deals with anger issues. Talk weekly to them until you settle down then talk bi-weekly then monthly for as long as it takes to make you feel safe again.

Good luck!

You fail to tell us what got you into the system. I was a LEO for over 10 years both military and civil, the only ones who ever complained of abuse from me and or tried to sue were idiots that refused to obey simple commands and resisted. It is so easy, do not break the law, then do not resist arrest. When you stop resisting I stop kicking your @$$. Easy huh. Old saying, If you can't do the time, don't do the crime.

you are thinking all the negative side of the system please try to thing positive such as what will happen if the justice system is not there. yes some of us did not get the justice we want and many are being bullied in the system cause they either cannot effort it or they did not know how thing work. by thinking positive you will save yourself all the hatred and understand that you are not alone and there more out there who need help

Forgive... love...accept.. that's the way things are because we live in the real world. Stop pondering on the past for you will never turn back the hands of time.

Just be thankful and contented for what you have NOW and do not look for things that you do not have. Live and let live... and see what happens.
