Nothing!! It has horrendous crime rates. I suggest you look to moving elsewhere!

Good music scene.
Everyone's tastes catered for style-wise, pub and club-wise (rock, RnB, goth, dance etc. etc.).
Plenty to choose from but not too busy either shopping-wise.
Fairly friendly folk compared to other cities.
Lots of cheap bars if your skint/tight or a student.
Good casino.
Plenty of facilities regards gyms, football pitches etc.
Excellent regular transport with busses, trains and trams.
Decent historic value (England's oldest pub, Nottingham castle etc. (Though none are very spectacular).
If it's your thing (not mine btw, but live and let live) prostitues are easy to find and fairly cheap.
It's got decent surrounding activities like Woolaton Park and The Goose Fair.
Mansfield, Chesterfield, Derby and other neighbouring towns are easy to get to via train and are also good nights out.
Fairly polution free (you can breathe easy, unlike London) and nice countryside areas surounding.
I'd think the comments on crime etc are overstated.; it's like any city and if your not a total wuss and have an ounce of common sense and behave sensibly (e.g. don't go down strange dark ally's, go out drinking with mates n not by yourself, don't go offering out everyone) then you should enjoy yourself.

Not much! Though, if knives and guns are your thing then i suggest you go ahead and move there. The nightlife isnt all that great anymore, half the clubs have closed down due to violence ... assuming your going there for uni ? choose somewhere else!

It's not a bad night out, and It's smack bang in the centre of England, so travelling out, or getting your mates to visit isn't too difficult.

Excellent shopping centre; good public transport; people much friendlier than they are around London. More green and less grey than London!
