They were once the bane of my existence. I had one right after another. After the 5th, I scheduled a marsupialization, but it burst before so I didn't need to do it. And then I didn't have another one for many years, until I got back on a bicycle for the first time in umpteen years.

I had another one a year or so after that, and I'm now a firm believer in treating them myself. Sit in a hot tub for as long as I can stand, and use a heating pad between times.

I also had a word catheter inserted at one time, which was a REAL treat!

I'm not sure that this is helping or not, but I've gotten in the habit of manipulating the site every morning in the shower. I just give it a little rub with pressure, both to see if anything is growing, but also in the hope that if any blockages are starting to form, that this will break it up.

It's been a couple of years since I last researched the issue, but I think the last person was right to suggest having the gland removed.

You can get the gland removed - you have two of them and your body only needs one to function. It may seem dreastic but as any kind of genital cyst is can be very painful and potentially very serious if it bursts I would say you should seriously consider this option.
I hope you get rid of the problem and are well soon.

First, you have to make sure that your body is functioning correctly at the cellular level. This will prevent most allergic and toxicity response problems.
