It's my favorite show of all time. Seriously. And most of the reason was that the creator (Joss Whedon) and the writers were seriously clever with their plot and dialogue. They didn't dumb things down for the audiences and were wickedly good at offhanded pop culture references. I have to say that Gilmore Girls runs a close second because of similarly good dialogue, but Buffy affected me emotionally as well. It dealt with deeper issues. I should also mention that it was a favorite of the critics as well, but I guess the WB didn't see it that way.
The spinoff, Angel got very good in its final season. As good as Buffy. But then the show was canceled. I miss both of them.

I have to admit that there were some pretty good episodes of Buffy. But I don't think it should be in the top 10 of ALL TIME. Maybe top 10 of this decade. Did anyone see the episode with those creepy looking guys that stole all their voices?

I would have to say no. It gives people a bad impression of vampyres not all of them are "evil" and ugly and there are too many fictional references toward vampyres such as sunlight (nowadays that is) garlic crosses holy water etc....
